📝 “Dear body, I am sorry.
I’m sorry I bullied you.
I’m sorry for being selfish.
I’m sorry for cutting your wrists.
I’m sorry for all that I put you through.
I’m sorry for all the mean things I said about you.
I’m sorry I didn’t care for you the way you deserved.
I’m sorry for not ever listening to you.
I’m sorry I took you for granted.
I’m sorry I didn’t respect you.
I’m sorry for starving you.
And most importantly…I’m sorry for blaming you.
It has taken me years…
But I’ve FINALLY realized that you’re my life partner and companion.
When you needed me most was when I put my walls up and belittled you.
And I’ll NEVER forget the trauma I put you through.
But I swear I’ve learned my lesson, and I promise that I’m committed to honoring you.
♥️ Loving you
♥️ Caring for you
♥️ Supporting you
♥️ Listening to you
♥️ Respecting you ♥️ Nourishing you
Thank you for never giving up on me.
Thank you for trusting me to take care of you.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.
I love you with every fiber of my being.
You’ve been through HELL and BACK, and I’m SO fucking proud of you.
You’re a fighter. And because of that, so am I.
I love you till the end of time, trust me, I’ve gotchu. Always and forever.
It’s me and you against the world.”
When you think about it — 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 is how we show up in 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲… for 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 and 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀. 🤷🏻♀️
Because it’s ultimately 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗦.
From a young age, we’ve been conditioned to 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 instead of be one with it.
Imagine if someone talked to you the way you talked to your body…
How would you feel?
If they always made you feel like you weren’t good enough... always comparing you to someone else...
It’d feel pretty shitty right?
Because the reality is — our body is the ONE thing we have to carry us through life… to help us achieve our goals and do the things we came here to do.
We’ve got ONE body and ONE life.
And it deserves our love and full attention.
So if YOU were to write a letter to your body, what would you say? ♥️
