Are you someone who feels like there’s not enough hours in the day to get the things you need to get done, done? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣If so, are you:⁣⁣

➡️ Maximizing your time? (creating to-do lists and prioritizing tasks)⁣⁣

➡️ Waking up when you NEED to wake up to get things done?⁣⁣

➡️ Going to bed when you should to make sure you’re able to wake up? ⁣⁣

⁣⁣If not, it’s time to look at your SLEEP SCHEDULE! 😴⁣⁣

Before I go any further, I wanna ask you…are you a bedtime procrastinator like me? LOL⁣⁣

According to researchers, this phenomenon is defined as “failing to go to bed at the intended time, while no external circumstances prevent a person from doing so.”⁣⁣

When we’re overwhelmed or stressed, our nights are ruled by 2 bedtimes.⁣⁣


1️⃣ The time we *claim* to go to bed⁣⁣

2️⃣ The time we ACTUALLY drift off⁣⁣

Bedtime procrastination is associated with insufficient sleep and/or lack of self-regulation.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Sooo...whenever my to-do list piles up and I feel overwhelmed by time getting away from me, my sleep schedule is the first thing I audit. 🗓⁣⁣

I make sure to bed at the time I *claim* to, and challenge myself to get up a tiny bit earlier than my usual “let’s sleep-in because I work for myself” time.⁣⁣⁣⁣

‼️ Listen, homie - full disclosure… I’m not someone who can wake up at 5am (I’m all about that beauty sleep)...⁣⁣

buuut, the goal is to shift around your sleep schedule so that you feel well rested and energized for the day ⤵️⁣⁣⁣⁣

I can scrape by waking up at 6 or 6:30am and it makes ALL the difference to the amount of time I feel I have to get shit done in my day.⁣⁣

This prevents you from feeling like you’ve wasted the day.⁣⁣


It’s enough of a challenge that you feel like you make a difference to your day when you nail it, and not too much that you’re walking around like a zombie all freakin day (nobody likes a grumpy zombie). ⁣⁣

You wanna find this sweet spot!⁣⁣

✅ Tips: put the phone away at night (in a separate room), ✅ get a decent sleep and ✅ set yourself up with the intention for an easy, productive day by reminding yourself why you’re waking up earlier!⁣⁣
